Interior Wishing With

January 10, 2017

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited along to a press meal. I’m not going to talk too much about the meal as I know it will make everyone jealous. I’ll just say it was amazing! The food was delicious and the room looked great with everything from The event was organised to celebrate the launch of the pop-up shop here in Edinburgh. If you’re in the city the pop-up lasts until February 6th and is at 17 Dundas Street. It’s well worth a visit if you’re thinking of buying anything from Made. Sometimes it’s useful to be able to see things in person before purchasing especially, with big-ticket items like furniture.

As well as providing us with a gorgeous meal the lovely people at Made kindly gifted everyone £50 voucher. Naturally, I headed over to the website straight after the event to work out how to spend my voucher. I was under the impression that Made just sold furniture but I was pleasantly surprised to discover they have a home accessories department. Not only is everything they sell beautiful everything is also really affordable.

After discovering the home accessories department, I now have an interiors wishlist as long as my arm. I thought I’d share a few of my favourite picks with you guys, hoping that it might help me narrow down what to spend my voucher on.

Dinner Party Of Dreams

Wishlist of items for my ideal dinner partyThe event got my dreaming about hosting beautiful dinner parties. Although there is no way my food will be anywhere near as good I can try to recreate the beautiful table. Starting with the tableware this set of Kyoto white plates look perfect for showing off all that fancy food. For a talking piece, this gold cutlery set is ideal. We used this set at the made event and it was stunning and very comfortable to use. For the wine, I love these Salem glasses. They have a flat bottom which is very unusual whilst keeping the minimal look I love. To keep everyone hydrated I’ll be placing a simple water jug on the table. Better add some coasters to protect the table. These marble ones are a bloggers dream and will look great alongside this marble platter. To decorate the table I love this copper candlestick and gold vase (for all those flowers my guests bring).

The Hygge Home

Wishlist for a hygge home from made.comLike everyone else in the country I have been obsessed with Hygge this autumn/winter. Anything which encourages staying in wrapped in a blanket is OK by me. have a fantastic range of blankets and cushions to help you add a little more Hygge to your home this winter. I love wrapping up in a cosy blanket on a cold night and this grey knitted throw looks just as good on the sofa as it would wrapped around you. Other throw options are this blue mohair one or this herringbone one. For the bedroom how about this waffle bedspread. Cushions are another great way to bring some Hygge into your home. I love, love, love this stag cushion and the cowhide and geometric cushions are a great way to add colour and texture. If you have wooden flooring this tufted rug is a great way to cosy up a room.

The Finishing Touches

Interiors wishlist from Made.comI never used to think of made as somewhere to get all those little bits and pieces. But it turns out they have a great range of finishing touches for every room. Starting with lights I think this star lamp is so cool, 15-year old me would have loved this in her bedroom. I also love this vintage style lamp which would look great on a desk. Another essential around the house is clocks and made have a great range. The blogger in me wants this marble clock so much although concrete industrial style clock is also a contender. Speaking of marble these bookends would be perfect for any book lover. These wire baskets would be so useful as well as look good on my desk. has an amazing range of art which would look great in any home. This framed print jumped out to me at the event I love the way the copper pops against the black. And finally, this mirror valet is the stuff of dreams. Imagine having this in your bedroom getting dressed in the morning would be so easy.

Now all I have to do is decide what I’m going to spend my voucher on. I’m leaning towards new wine glasses as my current choices are a bit of a mix. Having a matching set sounds lovely, although I’ll have to take extra care not to break any.
