It’s the first of July today, which in capsule wardrobe terms means it’s time to switch from your spring wardrobe over to your new summer capsule wardrobe. I spoke about my plans for my summer wardrobe last week (read my spring capsule wardrobe reflections and summer planning) and don’t intend to switch the whole wardrobe over. Mainly because here in Scotland the weather is so unpredictable and there really isn’t much difference between spring and summer temperature wise. So my spring wardrobe has become a half year wardrobe.
However I instead of going out and buying new pieces to fill in gaps in the wardrobe, I have decided I will allow myself to add a few pieces to my wardrobe over the next few months. This is a much more flexible approach to capsule wardrobes than I’ve used in the past, but I’m now a lot more confident in my ability to make smart purchases. The dress I’m wearing is one of those new pieces which I’ve added to my wardrobe for the summer.
The dress is the Scatter Floral Dress from Warehouse* ordered from House of Fraser (buy here). I don’t know about you but up until recently House of Fraser wasn’t on my list of online shops to check out when I was looking for a new outfit. From some reason, I always through Frasers was a pricier department store which targeted older people. However, after looking on their website, they stock a massive range of brands (almost as many as ASOS) and the price range is just as big. When they contacted me recently to see if I wanted to feature one of their dresses on my blog it took me ages to choose one as the selection is massive. And being a department store means you can order a new toaster at the same time as a dress or a pair of shoes if that is more your thing.
Such a gorgeous dress x
