At the weekend the husband was a groomsman at one of his old uni friends wedding. Obviously, for me, this was a great excuse to get dressed up for the day. The wedding was held in the Aberdeenshire countryside which was beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a phone signal all day (seriously you don’t realise how easy you have it living in a city with 4g everywhere you go) so couldn’t share the day with you on Twitter and Instagram. To a blogger, this is the equivalent of having your right arm cut off (OK so maybe I’m being a little dramatic but you get the idea). In Spite of the lack of contact with the outside world (and not knowing the football scores), we had a lovely day.
As I know how hard it is to work out what to wear to a wedding I thought I’d share my outfit of the day with you guys. I went for a little black dress (there’s a surprise) from Reiss (unfortunately it’s now sold out) which has a laser cut out detail around the waist and hem. Think I may be a little in love with this dress as it sits so nicely and is comfortable to wear (very important if you’re wearing it all day). To avoid a funeral look I wore nude heels from office and my white Zara blazer.
