Useful Links for Creating a Capsule Wardrobe

When I was planning my Capsule Wardrobe I spent a lot of time reading blogs and watching Youtube videos about Capsule Wardrobes. As pretty as those images of tiny minimal wardrobes are on Pinterest I wanted to hear from real people who actually live with a capsule wardrobe (I doubt anyone actually lives with just 5 things on their clothes rail). I thought I would share some of the sites I found useful during my research since I know a lot of you are interested in reducing your wardrobes as well.

The Blogs

Unfancy – I’ve based my capsule wardrobe on Caroline’s following her tips for how many of each item you should have and not including accessories in your total. Caroline shares her outfits of the day to help give you an idea of how versatile a capsule wardrobe can be.

Project 333 – Project 333 is a really popular capsule wardrobe challenge and the website is full of inspiration and tips. This is similar to my capsule but all accessories are included and the total number of items is 33. I’m really impressed with anyone who can manage this challenge.

Into-Mind – This site has loads of useful tips for living a more minimalist lifestyle as well as advice for creating a capsule wardrobe.

The Every Girl – This post really breaks down the process of creating a capsule wardrobe. A useful read for anyone considering reducing their wardrobe.

Becoming Minimalist – Another great post on why you should try a capsule wardrobe. Shares 8 reasons why a capsule wardrobe can benefit you.

YouTube Channels

My Green Closet – Shares details of her seasonal capsule wardrobes and also has some really useful videos on sustainable and eco-friendly fashion.

Melissa Alexandria – Melissa’s videos are all about her minimalist lifestyle which includes how she created her minimal wardrobe.

Light by Coco – Shares outfit combinations from her capsule wardrobe. Useful for when you need some outfit inspiration.

Mademoiselle – Shares lookbooks and talks about her experiences living with a capsule wardrobe.

Vivianna Does Makeup – Although this is mainly a beauty channel Anna’s capsule wardrobe videos are so inspiring and well made. She has also just started a capsule wardrobe challenge which you can read about on her blog.

There are loads more great sites out there with inspiration and tips for creating a capsule wardrobe. Please share any useful sites you’ve come across in the comments.

I also recommend searching the #capsulewardrobe on Instagram for inspiration. And as usual, Pinterest is a great source of information and inspiration.
