Update and What to Expect in 2018

First of all, I hope you all had a great Christmas and I wish you a very happy new year!

what to expect from The Sustainable Edit in 2018

I wanted to write a quick post to share some of my plans for the year ahead. I was very quiet on here for the last half of 2017. This was mainly down to returning to full-time work in the spring and I was struggling to find the time or motivation to blog. After taking a proper break over the holidays I’m feeling refreshed and ready to start blogging again. Funny how a few days eating chocolate on the sofa watching cheesy films can motivate you so much. So whilst my out of office is still on I wanted to plan ahead for the new year.

The other day I sat down with my notebook to have a think about how I wanted to develop The Sustainable Edit and the topics I wanted to write about this year. I came up with a short list of what you can expect from me this year.

What to expect from The Sustainable Edit in 2018

  • More Capsule Wardrobes – I know a lot of you discovered this site through my capsule wardrobe advice posts so I want to create more of these to help you create your perfect capsule wardrobe. I’ve been capsuling for over 2 years now so have plenty of experience and advice to share. I also want to include more of my personal capsule wardrobe here too.
  • More Sustainable Style – As well as capsule wardrobes I want to share more sustainable brands and discuss how you can incorporate ethical fashion into your wardrobe.
  • More Sustainable Living – I’m trying to live more sustainably and want to share my journey with you. So expect posts on tips and advice I’ve picked up and what is working for me. I’m sure many of you are doing the same thing so we will all be learning together.
  • Weekly Posts – Towards the end of last year my posting schedule went out of the window and I felt guilty for not checking in with you. I want to return to regular posting this year. My previous schedule of 3 posts a week isn’t sustainable for me right now. But I think once a week is, so you can expect a new post every Wednesday. I may end up sharing more often depending on what else is happening in my life that week but I won’t be making any extra commitments right now.

Before I go I want to thank all of you for reading, commenting and liking last year it really does mean the world to me that anyone reads and enjoys my work. I can’t wait to share more with you this year and look forward to growing together.

I have just found your blog as I continue my journey to living a more sustainable life. I researched Slow Fashion last year and tried not to buy any new clothes – I make my own and have enjoyed browsing and buying from charity shops. This year I want to consolidate my capsule wardrobe and reduce my plastic consumption. Looking forward to following your blog!
