Are you planning a late summer trip? Or maybe you have a few business trips coming up? Whatever your reason for packing your travel wash bag fitting everything in is always a struggle. With airline restrictions and the tight space taking full-size products isn’t an option. Under most circumstances, I’m not a fan of mini’s but when travelling they come into their own. Green People sell really handy starter packs filled with the perfect sized products for your trip. They are also a fantastic way to test out their products without committing to the expense or risk of the full-size version. Recently Green People kindly sent me two of their starter packs to test out; the holiday sun pack and the superfood pack.
Green People are one of the UK’s biggest natural and organic skin care brands. They’ve been pioneers of the green beauty movement for over 20 years. So they are a brand to trust when it comes to green beauty. Their products are all natural and organic and don’t contain any nasty chemicals like SLS, SLES, methylisothiazolinone (MI), Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI), parabens, lanolin, phthalates, propylene glycol, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol), harsh foaming agents, irritating emulsifiers, synthetic fragrance, PABA-sunscreen, gluten, colourants, petrochemicals, urea, DEA, TEA or PEGs. They are also 100% cruelty-free and promised to never test any of their products on animals.
Green People is an ethical brand which cares about the world we live in. All of their packaging can be recycled and your delivery arrives with compostable packing chips made from biodegradable non-GMO corn starch. They work closely with the Marine Conservation Society and have donated over £70,000 from the sale of our products towards helping them keep our shores and coastlines pollution-free.
More and more people are looking for natural, non-toxic sun cream. Traditional sun creams containing ingredients like Oxybenzone can have a devastating effect on our oceans killing coral reefs and harming fish. However natural and non-toxic sun lotion can be hard to find. And it definitely isn’t something you want to take risks with. Protecting your skin from the sun is so important and you need to use a brand you can trust. I have pale Scottish skin so a high factor SPF is top of my travel skincare list wherever I go. I tested out both the SPF 30 and 15 during the recent heat wave we had in Scotland. Yes, you did read that right we had a heat wave in Scotland! Both seemed to protect my skin well and there were no signs of burning even after a few hours out in the sun. I even managed to develop a slight tan. Both absorbed quickly without any white cast and felt comfortable and non-greasy on the skin.
For me, the stand out product in this pack is the after sun. This was a joy to use at the end of a hot day. It felt so cooling on the skin and smelt so fresh (thanks to the aloe vera and mint). It didn’t need much working in and like the sun lotions didn’t feel greasy at all. I’d highly recommend this product for your next vacation.

This pack contains the perfect trio for your shower routine. This makes life so easy when packing for a short trip or to have in your gym bag. The shampoo and condition both have a lovely citrus and ginger smell which is perfect to wake you up during an early morning shower. They left my hair feeling so soft and shiny, I wanted to touch it all day long. I’ve only used these a couple of times so can’t comment on any change in my hair but does feel very healthy when using these products. The shower gel also has that refreshing citrus and ginger scent which again is perfect for your morning shower. It left my skin feeling clean and with a very light citrus scent. If I’m honest I don’t look for much in a shower gel other than scent so this definitely ticks that box.
I think I would consider buying the full-size shampoo and conditioner once my current ones run out as I did like how my hair felt after using them. If you want to try out the Superfood Starter Pack for yourself you can buy it here for only £10
