Styling The Shepherd’s Plaid

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited along to Jenners for a bloggers breakfast to celebrate the launch of the exclusive Shepherd’s plaid by DC Dalgliesh. So I made sure I was up and ready to go early on Saturday morning to make sure I didn’t miss out. DC Dalgliesh had taken over the menswear department on the ground floor in Jenners. The event started with a glass of orange juice and tasty croissants after we had our fill the lovely Lynne spoke to us about the history of DC Dalgliesh. DC Dalgliesh is one of the only handcrafted tartan mills in Scotland and is based down in the Borders. The Shepherd’s Plaid has been updated with new colour ways making it feel very contemporary.

We all then got a chance to try on The Shepherds Plaid and play with it finding new ways to style our plaids. The plaids themselves felt so luxurious and soft, unlike traditional tartan. There is something very stylish about a huge scarf – it makes you feel very chic. I couldn’t decide which colour I preferred, I tried on the purple which was gorgeous but I was also drawn to the blues and greys. These items are a little pricey, but considering they are hand made in Scotland (and are part of our history) they are an investment piece which will last forever.
