As we grow and evolve in our lives it’s important that our personal style keeps up with us. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been having a bit of a style evolution. My wardrobe of simple, minimal pieces was boring me. I started to crave a little more fun and playfulness in my wardrobe. With this in mind, I’ve been exploring my personal style and how I want to use my clothes to reflect how I feel and who I am. I will share more of my style revamp in another post. But today I wanted to discuss a few signs which might suggest you are also ready for a style revamp.
This was the main trigger for me and was one of the main reasons I gave up my capsule wardrobe. I found myself bored of my wardrobe of simple, basic pieces. I wanted change and more playfulness and fun in my wardrobe. Whilst I do think it’s perfectly normal to have days when you feel fed up or bored with your wardrobe. If you are consistently feeling uninspired by your clothes then it’s maybe time for a refresh. Your wardrobe should be a place of joy and inspiration and you shouldn’t feel fed up or bored every morning when you go to get dressed.
It’s really important that our personal style and wardrobes reflect our lifestyles. Afterall there is no point in having a wardrobe full of pretty party dresses if you never go out anywhere fancy. If you’ve recently changed your lifestyle it might be time to think about a style revamp. For example, if you’ve just started a new job and need more professional clothes or maybe you’ve gone freelance and now can wear whatever you want working from home. Or maybe you’ve just had a baby and need more practical clothes.
Do you find yourself standing in front of your wardrobe feeling like you have nothing to wear? Then maybe it’s time for a style revamp. Getting dressed and putting together outfits you love shouldn’t be a struggle every morning. As I’ve already said your wardrobe should inspire you so if it no longer does it’s time for a change.
As we evolve and grow as humans our styles change with us. Sometimes our wardrobes don’t keep up with us and we find that our clothes no longer reflect who we are. Personal style isn’t just about the clothes we wear it’s about showing the world who we are. Our wardrobes just be a reflection of us. Our outfit is often the first thing people see when they meet us and it should give the right first impression. If your wardrobe no longer feels like you then it’s time for a style revamp.
