As well as being inspired to switch up my wardrobe, this time of year always gets me thinking about skincare. Now is the perfect time of year to think about switching up your skincare. Those heavy creams which my skin drinks up in winter are starting to feel too heavy. And that bright spring sunshine is very unforgiving on our fine lines and wrinkles. Now is the time to invest in quality products to tackle them.
So, when Skin Chemists got in touch to see if I wanted to try out their infamous *Bee Venom Facial Serum I jumped at the chance. Bee Venom Facial Serum is an all-around anti-aging serum designed to stimulate, smooth and firm the skin. The serum aims to leave your complexion looking and feeling refreshed, younger and more radiant. It’s a big task for a serum but for the high-end price tag £135, you expect these kinds of results.
How Bee Venom Facial Serum Works
Bee Venom Facial Serum has 3 key active ingredients which work together to help firm, lift and brighten your skin.
- Bee Venom which increases blood circulation and the movement of nutrients in the skin plumping the skin to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. It does this by tricking the skin into thinking it has been stung and therefore bringing blood to the surface of the skin. This creates the plumping effect, smoothing the appearance of fine lines giving skin a more youthful loo. The Bee Venom is sustainably sourced and no bees are harmed in harvesting bee venom. Skin Chemists use a safe method which leaves the bee sting (and life) intact. A quick Google will tell you everything you need to know about the process. It goes without saying that you should NOT use this if you are allergic to bees!
- Hyaluronic Acid This is a skincare favourite of mine as it helps your skin to absorb and maintain moisture. Well, hydrated skin is firmer and more youthful looking.
- Tego Cosmo C250 This contains a blend of Amino Acids (Tego Cosmo C250) which aim to balance the skin whilst improving clarity and skin tone for a brighter more radiant complexion.
I’m reluctant to say this given the high price tag but my skin loves this stuff. I’ve only been using it a couple of weeks and can see a difference already. My skin looks brighter and more radiant and feels smoother. It does feel plumper and firmer after using the serum. Bee Venom Facial Serum is really pleasant to use, it feels nice when applying to the skin goes on smoothly and is comfortable. It doesn’t leave my skin desperate for moisturiser or feeling dry and tight.
