Introducing DECIEM The Abnormal Beauty Company

August 29, 2016

A few weeks ago I meet up with Laura, from DECIEM for coffee and to learn all about DECIEM’s range of skincare products. I’m really into my skincare (as you can probably tell from my complex skincare routine) so love finding out about new products and trying them out.

I met Laura in Burr & Co on George Street, which is a lovely wee coffee shop next to the George Hotel (it even has marble table tops for that all important Instagram flatlay). After ordering our drinks we got busy chatting about skincare. Laura is just as obsessed with it as me, so we had a lot to talk about. After hearing that DECIEM’s founder, Brandon Truaxe was the creator of the infamous¬†Hydraluron (one of my all time favourite beauty products) I knew that DECIEM’s range would be pretty impressive. Laura introduced me to the full range of DECIEM brands giving me the chance to sample something from every brand. After sampling so many products on my hand during our meeting I was sitting stroking my hands on the bus home, they were that soft. I was seriously impressed with everything I tried, and the price range is so reasonable with most products around the ¬£20 mark. Trust me, everything could have been double the price and I would still be saying they were good value. One of the best things is the range is available in boots meaning its really easy to get hold of, especially if you don’t like ordering online.

At the end of our meeting, Laura asked me what products I wanted to try out at home. This was a surprisingly difficult question to answer (how can you say everything without sounding greedy?). After a bit of deliberation, I went for Hylamide Low-Molecular HA Booster, Hylamide Glow Booster, Hylamide HA Blur, Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Body Mist and Fountain The Glow Molecule.

Abnormal Beauty Company

Hylamide Low Molecular HA Booster

This stuff is like a more advanced Hydraluron to help rehydrate your skin. Like a lot of people I have dehydrated skin, so I’m always on the look out for a good hydrating serum. I’ve been using a couple of drops of this after cleansing morning and night since it arrived. It soaks into the skin really quickly, meaning you can get on with the rest of your routine. I’ve been using this alongside my existing serums and can really feel the difference in my skin. It looks plumper now and feels comfortable and hydrated all day. This serum has quickly become a favourite and I will definitely be repurchasing. Available to purchase here

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster

As I have fairly pale skin I tend not to use fake tan on my face, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want a subtle glow in the summer. This can be used to add a subtle glow or to create a healthy hint of colour. I’ve been using this every couple of nights to add a hint of colour and glow to my skin. You wake up with glowing skin. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking for a facial tanner but it’s perfect if you want that healthy I’ve been outdoors all day glow. Available to purchase here

Hylamide HA Blur Surface Hydrator

This has quickly become my favourite primer, it goes on so smoothly and doesn’t feel heavy or sticking on your skin like some primers can. It gives the skin a smooth glowing finish and helps your makeup to last all day. I have been wearing this alone on no makeup days and it creates a smooth texture making the skin look great. I will definitely be repurchasing this as it has become an essential in my makeup bag. Available to purchase here

Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Body Mist

I’ve used moisturising body sprays before and find them just as much of a faff as creams and body butter as you nearly always have to rub the product in and wait for it to soak in before getting dressed. This body mist is different for one thing it isn’t a cream in a spray bottle but a water like lotion. Secondly, it sprays on like a facial spray meaning you can spray and leave it to soak in and it soaks in straight away leaving the skin with a subtle sheen. It has the same hyaluronic acid as the facial products meaning it provides deep hydration for the skin. Available to purchase here

Fountain The Glow Molecule

This is a dietary supplement which is designed to give you bright, healthy, radiant skin. I’m always a little wary of supplements but after hearing Laura rave about this I thought I would give it a go. After taking it daily for a week I did notice my skin was looking more radiant (although this could have been the serums as well). This is a liquid rather than pills but I don’t find the taste too bad, yes it’s not the most pleasant but it isn’t terrible. Available to purchase here
