I Dream of Shapes, Bloggers Photo Shoot
May 9, 2016
Last week I was invited by my friend (and fellow blogger) Lucie to take part in a photo shoot along with a few other Scottish bloggers. Obviously, I couldn’t say no to the chance to get dressed up, do my makeup, get a few photos taken and hang out with some amazing girls.
Lucie set up the photo shoot to showcase some of the gorgeous pieces from one of her shop’s designer brands, I Dream of Shapes. The range by Sam and Lorna is beautiful, every piece is unique and handmade right here is Scotland (yay for local brands). You can see more of I Dream of Shapes designs on their Instagram feed.
Once everyone’s makeup was perfect and we had a glass of prosecco it was time to play around with the new I Dream of Shapes collection. It’s not often that I love everything in a clothing range, but I would have happily taken home every single piece from the rail. In the end, I went for this black and white patterned skater skirt with a high-low hemline. I teamed it with an oversized black crop top, the shoes came out of my spring capsule wardrobe. I absolutely loved my outfit and kinda want to buy the skirt when the shop opens (although I must resist as I don’t really need another skirt).
Once everyone had picked their outfit and taken a few selfies and outfit pictures, it was time for the professional to take over. Lucie had arranged for James Keyte of
Keyte Photography to take our photos. As I’m not a natural at modelling it was very helpful to have him guide me while I was pretending I could be a model.
I had a great night, trying on pretty clothes and spending time with some of my favourite people. I think the photos turn out great and everyone looks fantastic. If you haven’t already make sure you check out everyone’s blogs (and give them a follow).
Me (you should already know that, though!)

Looks like great fun, and your skirt is amazing – the pattern is super cute and could totally be worn all times of the year!
