Yes, I’ve gone there already using the big C word (Christmas) but in my defence, I did wait until November. If you want a beauty advent calendar that reflects your values then the Green Regime Beauty Advent Calendar from Green People might be perfect for you. I’ve never tried a beauty advent calendar before, despite liking the idea of them I’ve never committed to buying one. So when Green People kindly offered to send me theirs to try I was excited to see what the fuss was about.
*Spoiler Alert* This post contains a full list of products features in the Green Routine Beauty Advent Calendar
The advent calendar costs £75 and contains 15 products (including 3 full-size makeup products) worth £125. As it’s from Green People you can be sure everything is cruelty-free and ethically made from natural and certified organic ingredients. The calendar features a range of products from Green People to allow you to try organic beauty for yourself. There are also a couple of reusable products to help you go zero waste in the bathroom.
Personally, I think the calendar is really good value for money. Especially when you consider you’re getting 3 full-size makeup products plus 12 more sample sizes for £75. It’s not unusual to spend £75 on just 3 makeup products from other brands. I think this would make a great gift idea for anyone with an interest in natural beauty or even a treat for yourself if you want to try the Green People range.
I particularly like the packaging. It’s bright, colour and fun but not too festive. Which means it would also work for any birthdays coming up. Or if you just want to treat yourself before December. All of the packaging is ec0-friendly and recyclable.
Click off the page now if you don’t want to know what you get inside. But if you’re anything like me then you want to know exactly what you’re getting before making a purchase. So here is a list of everything you’ll receive in your organic beauty advent calendar:
My favourite products (so far) are the volumising mascara, the velvet matte lipstick and the organic cotton reusable cleansing pad and bandeau. I’m still to try out of the skincare products so excited to see if there are any new favourites amongst them. I’ve been using this mascara since I made the decision to switch to green beauty. It gives your lashes volume but at the same time looks really natural. Perfect for daytime wear. I suffer from dry eyes and find most mascaras leave me with dry, itchy eyes after a couple of hours but not this one. This is comfortable to wear all day.
Another favourite product is the velvet matte lipstick which is a lovely your lips but better shade. This has become my go-to lipstick since I got it and is perfect for natural daytime makeup. It lasts reasonably well and isn’t drying like a lot of matte lipsticks.
And finally, I’ve really enjoyed using the organic cotton reusable headband and pad. The bandeau headband is surprisingly useful and I find myself reaching for it most nights when removing my makeup. It keeps my hair out of the way and saves me struggling to find a bobble. I don’t know about you but I can never find my hair bobbles when I need one. The facial cleansing pad is one of those things I didn’t even know I needed. I use flannels to remove my makeup so don’t buy cotton pads anymore. However, there are days when I do need to use a separate makeup remover and that’s where this comes in handy. It’s also great for applying toner. It feels soft and comfortable on the skin and best of all can be thrown in the washing machine and reused again and again.
If you want to try the Green Regime Beauty Advent Calendar for yourself or buy it as a gift you can purchase here for £75
