Alternative Easter Gifts

April 12, 2017

Non-chocolate Easter Gift IdeasIt’s Easter this weekend which means a 4 day weekend, time with family and of course lots and lots of chocolate. But what do you get those people in your life who don’t eat or want chocolate? And even if you do love chocolate sometimes 10+ chocolate eggs is too much. I’ve come up with a few gift ideas which don’t involve chocolate which are perfect for the non-chocolate eaters in your life. And anyone else who may not want yet another chocolate egg this Easter.

Luxury gift ideas from Skye candlesIn my opinion scented candles always make a great gift. They are one of those little luxuries that everyone loves but rarely buy for ourselves. I was recently sent this beauty from *Skye Candles are it was love at first light. All of Skye candles are handmade in Scotland using natural soya wax. With a burn time of 45 hours, this candle is going to last and Skye candles have a huge range of scents. The scent throw off is amazing, this candle leaves my whole house smelling great. Which isn’t an easy task given there is a stinky dog running around. I love the minimal design of the candle and the pot is a good size if you want to use after burning. The best bit is the large candles (size featured) only cost £17.00 which is amazing for a luxury candle.

Beauty Products

Easter Gift ideas from just Be botanicalaLuxury skincare and beauty products are another thing we just don’t buy for ourselves. But yet we all love an indulgent body lotion. I love the range of beauty products from Just Be Botanicals which is natural beauty company based right here in Edinburgh. Like Skye candles, everything is handmade using natural ingredients and they’re products are vegan-friendly.

I’ve been trying out the *Just Be happy hand & body wash and lotion and the *Just Be soft lip balm. The Just Be happy range smells amazing. Seriously after using this, I can’t stop sniffing my hands they smell so good. It’s an uplighting citrus scent of pink grapefruit and lime. It’s fresh and perfect for spring. Not only do they smell great these products are fantastic to use. The hand wash has a nice foam to it and doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or tight and the lotion sinks in quickly leaving skin feeling soft and nourished. You can buy a mini set for only £8.50 which would be a great extra gift alongside an easter egg or you can get the full size set for £25.

I’ve also been trying the Just be soft lip balm which is one of the softest lip balms I’ve ever used. It feels so good on the lips. It doesn’t leave them feeling sticky or covered in product but leaves them soft and subtle for hours. I adore the fresh minty scent. The lip balm would make a great little extra gift for anyone in the family. You can buy it from Just Be for £7.50.

Easter Gift Ideas from the BiscuiteersLastly, I have one of the super cute *gift sets from Biscuiteers. So these might technically be food related and can even be chocolate but trust me they are way better than an Easter egg. I would love to receive one of these adorable biscuit tins as a gift. Not only does the tin look good and will be useful once the biscuits are gone the biscuits taste great. And I have to mention the amazing decorations they almost look too good to eat. Every biscuit is different and all of them are decorated to a seriously high standard. This is so much more than just another iced biscuit. The Biscuiteers have a huge range of gift sets including wedding, thank you and new baby sets. The Easter Egg biscuit tin featured contains 9 hand decorated biscuits and costs £35.
